Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Mixture
- 3 (8 ounce) packages Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded
Seasonings and Add-ins
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 cup Everything Bagel Seasoning
- 2 Tablespoons Pimentos
- 1 Tablespoon Orange Marmalade
Decorations
- 2 Black Olives, cut into small pieces
- 1 mini Carrot, for the nose
- 1 thin strip Red Pepper, for the neck scarf
Instructions
- Mix the cheeses and seasonings: In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese until smooth. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, onion powder, Everything Bagel Seasoning, pimentos, and orange marmalade. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Form the cheese balls: Transfer the cheese mixture onto a large piece of parchment paper. Shape one medium-sized ball and one smaller ball from the mixture. Insert a corn skewer vertically into the medium ball, then place the smaller ball on top of the larger one, securing them together. Roll the balls in shredded mozzarella cheese to completely cover the surface. Place the assembled cheese ball on a plate and refrigerate to firm up.
- Prepare decorative accents: Cut the black olives into small pieces to be used for the eyes, mouth, and buttons. Trim the tip of a mini carrot to serve as the snowman’s nose, and slice a thin strip of red pepper to act as a neck scarf.
- Decorate the cheese ball: After chilling, remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator. Attach the olive pieces onto the front of the cheese ball to create eyes, a smiling mouth, and buttons down the snowman’s front. Insert the carrot tip in the center of the upper ball as the nose. Wrap the red pepper strip around the base of the smaller ball to mimic a scarf.
- Serve and enjoy: Arrange crackers, bagel chips, garlic chips, or crusty bread around the plate for dipping or spreading the cheese ball. Serve immediately and enjoy this festive appetizer with your guests.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps and ensure easy mixing.
- The orange marmalade adds a subtle sweetness that balances the savory flavors.
- Refrigerate the cheese ball for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up and hold its shape better.
- Use a corn skewer or sturdy toothpick to securely stack the cheese balls without collapsing.
- Feel free to customize the decorations with other vegetables or herbs, such as chives for arms or parsley for a hat brim.
- This cheese ball is best served fresh but can be kept refrigerated up to 2 days before serving.
