  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Layer and Bake: Spread batter in the dish. Mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa, sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water on top.
  5. Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes until set. A gooey pudding layer will form at the bottom.

  • Do not stir the hot water on top; it creates the self-saucing pudding layer.
