- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the Casserole: In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, poppy seeds, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Add the cooked chicken and mix well.
- Layer the Casserole: Spread the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the Topping: Crush Ritz crackers and mix with melted butter. Spread the cracker topping over the casserole. Add shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
- Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly with a golden brown topping.
