Indulge in these delicious Nutella-filled waffles for a special breakfast treat. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and oozing with chocolate-hazelnut goodness, these waffles are sure to delight your taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 3/4 cup Nutella (plus more for serving)
  • nonstick spray or melted butter for waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Waffle Iron: Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined; do not overmix.
  5. Fill and Cook Waffles: Lightly grease the waffle iron. Pour a small amount of batter into the waffle iron, spoon Nutella into the center, cover with more batter, and cook until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Serve: Serve warm with additional Nutella, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

  • To make prep easier, freeze small Nutella discs ahead of time using parchment paper, then insert them into the batter for mess-free filling.
  • Leftover waffles can be frozen and reheated in the toaster.
  • For a crispier texture, add a bit of cornstarch to the dry ingredients.
