Description

This Homemade Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea is a comforting and aromatic beverage blending the rich flavors of black tea with warm cinnamon and smooth vanilla. Perfect for cozy mornings or relaxing afternoons, it combines brewed black tea with creamy milk, sweetened to your liking, and finished with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon garnish.

Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon)

Milk Mixture

  • 1 ½ cups whole milk (or dairy alternative)

Sweetener and Flavoring

  • 2 tablespoons sugar, honey, or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew the tea: In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the 2 black tea bags and 1 cinnamon stick, then reduce heat and let steep for about 5 minutes to extract the flavors.
  2. Warm the milk: While the tea steeps, heat 1 ½ cups of whole milk in another saucepan over medium heat. Warm it until hot but not boiling, whisking occasionally to develop a creamy texture.
  3. Combine: Remove the tea bags and cinnamon stick from the brewed tea. Sweeten the tea with 2 tablespoons of sugar, honey, or maple syrup, adjusting to your taste. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Then pour in the warmed milk and mix well to combine all flavors.
  4. Serve: Pour the vanilla cinnamon milk tea into mugs and enjoy warm. Optionally, sprinkle with ground cinnamon on top for an extra touch of warmth and aroma.

Notes

  • You can substitute whole milk with any dairy alternative such as almond, oat, or soy milk for a vegan version.
  • Adjust sweetness according to your preference.
  • For stronger cinnamon flavor, you can use ground cinnamon but steeping a cinnamon stick tends to be milder and smoother.
  • Use loose-leaf tea for a richer tea flavor if preferred.
  • Serve immediately for the best taste and temperature.
