Description

Delicious ham and cheese croissants made with crescent roll dough, layered with savory deli ham and Swiss cheese, brushed with a flavorful butter, brown sugar, dijon mustard, and garlic glaze, then baked to golden perfection. Perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Croissants

  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese, sliced in half diagonally

Glaze

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • Poppyseeds, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the croissants.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles carefully.
  3. Add Ham and Cheese: At the wide base of each triangle, place 1 folded slice of deli ham and 1 triangle piece of Swiss cheese.
  4. Roll Croissants: Starting from the wide base, roll each triangle up towards the pointed tip and place seam side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Make Glaze: In a small pan over low heat, melt the butter then whisk in brown sugar, dijon mustard, and minced garlic until combined.
  6. Glaze Croissants: Brush the butter mixture generously over each rolled croissant, then sprinkle with poppyseeds if using.
  7. Bake: Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until they turn golden brown on top.

Notes

  • Use Swiss cheese slices cut diagonally for perfect coverage inside the croissants.
  • Folding the ham into thirds helps it fit neatly inside the rolls without spilling out.
  • Poppyseeds add a nice texture and visual appeal but are optional.
  • Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an oven or toaster oven to maintain crispness.
