Scale
Croissants
- 1 can crescent rolls
- 8 slices deli ham
- 4 slices Swiss cheese, sliced in half diagonally
Glaze
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 small clove garlic, minced
- Poppyseeds, optional
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the croissants.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles carefully.
- Add Ham and Cheese: At the wide base of each triangle, place 1 folded slice of deli ham and 1 triangle piece of Swiss cheese.
- Roll Croissants: Starting from the wide base, roll each triangle up towards the pointed tip and place seam side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Make Glaze: In a small pan over low heat, melt the butter then whisk in brown sugar, dijon mustard, and minced garlic until combined.
- Glaze Croissants: Brush the butter mixture generously over each rolled croissant, then sprinkle with poppyseeds if using.
- Bake: Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until they turn golden brown on top.
Notes
- Use Swiss cheese slices cut diagonally for perfect coverage inside the croissants.
- Folding the ham into thirds helps it fit neatly inside the rolls without spilling out.
- Poppyseeds add a nice texture and visual appeal but are optional.
- Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an oven or toaster oven to maintain crispness.
