Pizza Roses Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 20 slices pepperoni
- 1 tsp Italian herbs (oregano or basil)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin by spraying it with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry into a flat sheet. Cut the puff pastry into strips about 3 inches wide to form the base of the pizza roses.
- Add Toppings: Spread a thin, even layer of pizza sauce over each puff pastry strip. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then arrange the pepperoni slices along one edge of each strip. Sprinkle Italian herbs over the top for added flavor.
- Form the Roses: Carefully roll each strip starting from the edge with the pepperoni slices into a tight spiral to resemble a rosebud. Place each rolled strip upright into the prepared muffin tin compartments.
- Bake: Bake the rolled pizza roses in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
