Description

Indulge in a delightful treat with these chocolate chaffles. These low-carb, keto-friendly waffles are rich in chocolate flavor and perfect for a satisfying breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon granular sweetener (like erythritol or monk fruit)
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Optional Toppings:

  • Whipped cream
  • Sugar-free chocolate chips
  • Fresh berries
  • Peanut butter drizzle
  • Low-carb syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Waffle Maker: Preheat your mini waffle maker.
  2. Prepare the Batter: In a small bowl, whisk the egg, then stir in the shredded mozzarella, almond flour, cocoa powder, sweetener, baking powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until a thick, slightly chunky batter forms.
  3. Cook the Chaffles: Lightly spray the waffle maker with non-stick spray if needed. Pour half the batter into the waffle maker and cook for 3–4 minutes, or until set and slightly crisp. Remove and repeat with the remaining batter.
  4. Serve: Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • These chocolate chaffles are keto-friendly and can be made sweeter or richer by adding a few sugar-free chocolate chips to the batter.
  • For a dessert version, serve with a scoop of low-carb vanilla ice cream.
