- 1 pound ground beef

- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
Additional:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
Instructions
- Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add Vegetables: Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in Sauces: Mix in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and mustard. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until thickened.
- Add Cheese: Reduce heat, then stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
- Assemble: Spoon the cheesy sloppy joe mixture onto toasted hamburger buns. Serve hot.
