- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
Egg Wash:
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
Additional:
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the puff pastry: Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 rectangles. Place them on the baking sheet.
- Make the spiced apple mixture: In a skillet, melt butter, add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cook sliced apples until tender. Let cool slightly.
- Assemble the pastries: Spoon the apple mixture onto each pastry rectangle. Brush the edges with egg wash.
- Bake: Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Finish: Drizzle with caramel sauce, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
